@Broadway: Eh....  Depends upon the type, the amount, and the person.  But point well taken.

Still, not the *best* sleep aid except when desperate.

@Terry: I guess you don't get on the naughty list for violating noise ordinances if you have city hall on your side.  ;)

I had always heard that certain classic rock megastars (like Hendrix) learned to play guitar when drunk and that's why they had to be wasted whenever they played --- they didn't know how to play sober. That could be the case for boozing people up before making them learn about their rights ... Or not.

Hmmmm... I never found alcohol a very useful educational aid (god knows I tried). But maybe if we restricted ToS documents to Twitter-length 140 characters, we'd reduce the overwhelm and get more real buy-in than the current avalanches foster.

Ha! I guess even Santa needs a meal break, @impactnow!

In my little burg, Santa hitched a ride with the local fire department and drove up and down every city street playing with the siren, a good way to spook any reindeer.

Tinym now we have to determine which one used the cookies sin NORAD and Google had him in different places, trying explaining that one to a child! We also had Santa driving a minivan in my town out of the Mall parking lot and eating at our local bagel shop!

Not just NORAD, @tinym. If Santa used VoIP or texting, the NSA was all over it.

Cue the singing goats.

Amen, @Lyndon! I'll click on the path of least resistance ToS and I'm certain I have plenty of company.

@Joe We give up much just to use many services. The price of free might be high, but we may never really know (because we haven't read the terms).
