With too many contortions, data can be lost. It is possible for the numbers to be scrubbed too much.

The lackluster expressions of his audience seem to imply that Conrad may have this problem...

Seth exactly --it will only be clean for an instant then more data will enter and make everything dirty again.

I like this cartoon, really sums up Visualization in my opinion, it is nice that before it is even presented a "disclaimer" of sorts is put out to the general audience.

@Noreen: More like clean data doesn't really exist XD

Or that it's not too unusual to find something valuable (e.g. jewelry) inside a vacuum cleaner's dust bag. But then again, are we supposed to hoard dust bags in hopes of finding a gem?

So are we only keeping up appearances when we say we want clean data? Is there hidden value in a little dirt?

If it's that clean, someone is doing it wrong and leaving a lot out.

Noreen I am betting on the dirty data. They would probably find the other fine if it was accurate!
