@James I wholly agree with you. I want to keep buildings (especially bookstores). I just thought it was interesting the future included a real building. :)

@TinyM. I certainly hope that we still have to go to physical buildings in the future. Those are places where we get visual and other sensory stimulation. We hear noise, see people who aren't like us, witness not only technological change (products) but social change. Even the shy among us are social animals. If our interaction with people is limited to staring at a computer screen or a phone, we'll be heading down a very wrong path.

I missed this cartoon when it was ordinarily published. It's brilliant. I can't believe we'll still have to go to real buildings in the future!

We're already here. If anyone has gone to their Google location history profile and saw how their phone has tracked their location for years realizes that this already being done.

It's simply adding smart analytics to those cameras in store mannequins to get "picking your nose at 10:18 a.m. while shopping at Target in the home and garden section."  Add facial recognition and you'll learn that you've done it three times this year.

Now Terry there may need to be a whole other app that blocks spouses from viewing what their significant other is doing in the mall!

Yeah, it's definitely heading that way. Humor foretelling reality...

Not just the police and Weight Watchers, but we'll alert your physician, insurance company and spouse while we're at it!

The upshot: A complete breakdown of personal privacy but, hey, you saved 10 percent on those jeans.
