Although it is great to see that half of the companies surveyed (under $250 million in annual revenue) felt that analytics was applied to key business issues by a moderate or great extent, it is unfortunate to see that only 24% have a formal, long-term strategic plan for analytics. Business intelligence isn't a one-off process. Analytics should grow and evolve to help improve business processes year after year.
