Maryam - I've always believed in redundant storage. For my most valuable data, I have storage offline and in two online services. The storm just proves how important redundancy is.

I keep what I think I might need... one day

Probably nails me as borderline OCD data hoarder.

However, I have improved from, say, c. 1995 or so.  This room that is now my office used to be filled almost to the ceiling with old newspapers, mostly NYT, that I really intended to read one day (from a retirement hospice in the Andromeda galaxy).

Now my hoarding is stored on a handful of portable harddrives and flashdrives that I could carry in my backpack. No, I only carry the flashdrives and one teeny-tiny harddrive with me...

Has the impending storm changed anyone's perspective on storage and where to store your data?
