I wonder how universal the franchise owners make good use of the data available? My small town local owner has three stores with one new one in planning stages. Although the common denominator is small town markets, the clients in each town are different, and the employer base for each different as well.

It would only make sense that hours of operation, promotions, and even employee training should be different for each location. I wonder how each owner is trained to use analytics?

Those small tweaks from location to location can spell the difference between surviving and thriving

Not suprising to see McDonald's growing use of analytics tools. They have traditionally been very progressive and  innoventive managerial style with strong support to the store level. Their time tested leadership in a very competive industry is testiment.

Beth, I remain fascinated with how McDonald's uses analytics. And thanks for the reminder of your previous post on its use of "augmented reality." Very cool indeed!
