@PC.--- I think I need to understand what system1 thinking really is. Does it have anything to do with "logical absurdity"?

@michaeljackson--- Data analytics is indeed a multidisciplinary task involving many skills. That is why good data and business analysts positions are not easily filled.

Another one, (maybe?)

* one night while I'm sleeping there is a noise that should wake the dead. I sleep through it.

* the next night there is a tiny, but possibly scary sound. I wake up, fully alert and mind racing about a possible intruder.

Are these examples of System 1 thinking?

* I arrive at my destination after hours of driving. Awake and alert, but the last thing I remember was a rest stop over 2 hours ago.

* After we've known each other for a few months, I realize that my new girlfriend is strangely similar to my last one. System 1 thinking helps me pick my friends.

* I walk back to my office after a conference. When I get there I realize I'm at my old office - the one I was in for a couple years before I changed offices a few weeks back.

Good data and analytics alone will not get the job done...there has to othere disciplines tied onto to complete your goal.
