I like it, but I'm not quite sure if it really explains how big data changes things.  I think they needed to do a problem definition first, like "Obviously the solution to the vampires would be to lure them all into a massive football field flooded with lights (as is the usual way to deal with sexy vampires) but how would they be able to coordinate baiting the stadium wtih excess plasma and ensure the vampires would know about said bait so they'd show?"

Well it certainly got my attention. I think it is a good approach to promoting big data. When you look at all the more sophisticated advertisements around you just want a break from it all. The novel nature of this short clip really brings a little bit of much needed humour. People might think it is an odd advertisement but it is going to generate conversation about big data. I think in this case it is all going to be positive publicity even if it's about negative aspects of the movie.

I love it (the tweet, not the hot, humid weather).

Jennifer Smith at the Wall Street Journal tweeted today: "The devil will get his weather back eventually, but probably not till Sunday, forecasters say."

It's gonna be 90 in Nova Scotia tomorrow -- maybe global warming really is more than hype.
