NO RATINGS

@Beth   I turn it off, and it stays off until needed.  I like to fool myself into thinking that that makes any difference, which of course it does not, but I guess if I felt really that strong about it - I would just turn the phone off too ( go land line ...etc. ) , but how much work do you really want to put into protecting your privacy ?

So do you give up your location just when you need directions, and turn it off after you've arrived? Or do you keep your location available at all times?

@Beth   Funny,   I am sure I am among those who find it an invasion of privacy, but I have been known to give up my location in an instant for some reliable directions !  : )

I have to say I sit somewhere inbetween being unfazed and uncomfortable. I'm unfazed because I'm not doing anything worth tracking and uncomfortable because I'm not as bothered about this as maybe I should be given the privacy implications. I do get a bit of twinge when I use my smartphone's mapping service, but not enough to turn it off and pull out the old paper roadmap!
