I would imagine the savings can scale up the more data is dropped off in the lake.

Storing the raw data in a data lake seems an apt term I'm wondering how much savings if any there might be since storage costs are low. But even some small amount would add up for those willing to save processing time and actual costs?

Intriguing post, Lalitha... as someone who wasn't familiar with this tech metaphor, I love the idea of pooling all data, regardless of its structure or source, or where it came from within the enterprise. If nothing else, data lakes can help curtail the redundant analytics efforts withinan organization, line of business, even a decentralized department.
