Good point Pierre, over time comfort overtakes style. With age, priority change from trying to make a statement. To some the shift comes sooner than later.

I think comfort becomes more important over time - though I miss certain loud clothes that i had.  I still love wear Jordans from time to time, even though I know good and well I am not dunking anytime soon.

I also wonder if IOT manufacturing will adjust any waste in developing custom sizes. A startup CEo talked about this in respect to her company, which makes these CNC mills.  Customization can eliminate material waste that we accept all because clothes and other items are made in batches.

The manufacturer's sizing schemes for clothing size is indeed problesome. I wonder what a chart comparing women's vs. men's sizing descrepencies would reveal!

I have to think that some clothing retailers bet on that kind of misstep to make a sale.  The challenge however is that singular transaction will be meaningless.  The best retailers will better tailor choices w hich will encourage customers to come back and purchase more.

Understanding the differences can be instrumental in understanding what drives personal choices, from clothing to personal health.

When it comes to appearance, subjective feelings have a considerable weight.

@Jamescon, style has taken precedence over all other concerns. I've profess to prefer comfort over image. You would be surprised how many rather look good, than feel good, if having to choose.

Yes, we can focus on the similarities, but understanding the differences in how someone views the world (or clothing), how we receive and communicate messages, and the life experiences of someone that you could never have shared, really can further greater overall understanding.

@rbaz. Good point about style when it comes to buying clothes as a gift. That's a no-win situation. Also, forget about "function". Warm clothes are useless if they don't fit the style.
