For the last decade I've been surprised that there doesn't yet seem to be much thought and discusssion about video and photo analysis for prediction. While I would guess Google has lots of stuff going on behind the scenes to eventually market the data that can be found in video, with the ever expanding warehousing of video data uploaded from everyone from individuals to companies, there's bound to be a huge market looking at that material and making predictions for hotels. And not to mention proprietary security video that;s ready to be mined for all sorts of uses by hotels.

Predictive analytics certainly has many uses for the hotel industry and prgress is being made. What excites me more is being able to stimulate demand and influence the results in real time. Using the predictive models that are developed to then design programs to improve results. I think this will be compelling to hotel owners looking to improve results- such as profitability and customer satisfaction.
