@Lauren. Great advice. The point that stuck out for me was the advice about using your existing customers as a base or starting point. I know it seems like simple common sense, but we still hear about companies that start their analytics initiative by just looking for new customers and new markets. However, if you don't understand your current base (your business) you won't know where to go with new business. It's like planning a trip. If you don't know where are you, you'll have no clue how to get to where you want to end up.
