NO RATINGS

Cynthia Harvey provides a succinct and interesting explanation of Blockchain:

Blockchain is the technology that underlies cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin. It is a highly secure distributed ledger that doesn't allow data to be edited or deleted once it is added to the ledger.

"Oops, I typed too many zeros on that ckeck amount. Now, how do I edit that entry? Uh-oh ..."

Yes, it's pretty irritating sometimes how marketing folks go to extremes to get those clicks. Maybe some A/B testing might find that sales or comprehension don't increase enough to justify the frustration readers encounter?

@ Lyndon,

It's a very effective tacktic to keep a person clicking on new pages and new ads.  It's irritating and it works.

Very interesting and informative summary of the current trends, although I find these "listicle" formats rather cumbersome and irritating. Also I don't see that all the slide graphics added anything at all.

Personally, I've started to more edge analytics with many companies I've worked with.  I've seen serveral companies close out departments in an effort to consolidate analytics then come to the realization that it is all too much for one location just due to the bandwith.

Though, I certainty understand why they did so.  Because the promise from all the hype was that they would be able to do so and keep down costs.
