As a testament to the growing importance of analytics within enterprise organizations, Chief Analytics Officer is a title we see more frequently. Analytics has risen to join the C-suite. It is a strategic role within the organization, and it is gaining the respect it deserves.
But what does a chief analytics officer do each day? To help us answer that question we welcome Dun & Bradstreet Chief Analytics Officer, or CAO, to join us for our July 26 A2 radio show.
Nipa Basu head up analytics for this American business services company, which provides commercial data to businesses about businesses.
Basu moved into the CAO job at Dun & Bradstreet a couple years ago, but she has been with the company since 2000, working in progressively more advanced roles in analytics and predictive analytics. She has worked as a chief analytics officer herself, and in her role as CAO for Dun & Bradstreet, she has worked with many other CAOs at other organizations, too.
From this vantage point, Basu has gained insight into what Chief Analytics Officers do every day. What duties make up their day-to-day work? Who do they interact with inside the C-suite and the rest of the organization? How much do they work with other departments within their organizations?
And for career-minded analytics professionals, what are some of the skills and talents you should work on developing if you have your eye on this type of job in the future?
During this session you'll learn:
What Chief Analytics Officers do each day
What skills and abilities are required in the CAO job
How CAOs must bridge the gap between deriving insights from data and making them actionable
What responsibilities come with data-based decision making, and how analytics is a foundation for these decisions.
Register now for this event, and be ready to join us at 1 pm ET/10 am PT time as Nipa Basu takes us through what it means to be a CAO.
